Wednesday we had 2 plays and went 1-1. We won with Texas Tech +9 and lost with Ohio State Under 140.5.
Today there have been no plays sent out so far.
Let me share an email:
“Hello Rick, do you ever consider buying 1/2 points in college basketball? Particularly around certain key numbers.”
“I never do in hoops….It’s not like the NFL where the lines get pretty close.
The thing to do is have two books….one that puts out a sharp line and the other that puts out a public line. As an example Pinnacle for the sharp line and Bovada for the public line
You will never have to consider buying points.”
This is really something everyone should do. There are a number of books that are “sharp” books and a number that are “public” books. You can tell by looking at a cross-section of lines and the public betting. They stand out very easily.
This one trick alone can gain you 5 to 10 units a year in your betting.
Let me also mention again that the decrease in the plays in college hoops is consistent with conference play. This period in college hoops is often called the graveyard for sports bettors. It is like this every season. This time, however, I have adjusted significantly:)
Good Luck Today
