When I started this sports betting service I knew that it was just a question of time before we had a significant downswing. Well, its finally here, and now its time to evaluate what I can do to minimize the slide.
I gave this some thought, and I know that my subscribers have been educated and conditioned for downswings. But, I am always sensitive about providing value.
So, for the current subscribers, I have decided to have the remaining portions of the subscription apply to the service through the first game of MLB.
I did not have to do this, as I have lost just a few subscribers during this downswing. In addition, my breakdown of games provides quite a bit of value for subscribers that are doing their own handicapping.
But, I am very attuned to the mental drain this endeavor can take on sports bettors. Hopefully, this will provide some accommodation to my long-time subscribers.
We have had some knock out years in some sports. But now we are in drawdown mode. It’s been may 30 units or so but it feels more like 100:)
In addition, I am going back to basics. I added a few addition 1/2 unit plays subsets a few months ago that has not been producing anywhere close to where my testing showed them to be. I am heading back to review what is going on and if any adjustments can be made on these.
That means fewer plays. Similar to what I provided for many years. Then, I will decide what I wish to do when MLB begins.
Also, saying all this football has been fine this season. We are on the plus side about 10 units along with the weekly breakdowns of all NFL matchups and top 26 matchups in college.
NBA is also positive about 6 units so far this season.
But the NHL and College hoops have been the drain. College hoops in particular. account for almost all of the drawdown. That is after 3 knockout seasons in College Hoops.
So, that is where we are at now. I have sent out an email to subscribers letting them know the options available. If you did not receive it email me at riccja3@gmail.com
I have had downswings playing limit poker that made me wonder what I was doing coming in every day and playing. But, as one professional player told me during a particularly long downswing, ” Rick, they always end, hang in there”
This player has been playing full time in Vegas for the last 50 years. And he is right, it will turn around. It always does.
In the meantime, I am going to get back to posting daily again for sports. I got away from that because of the time-consuming nature of my handicapping daily. But it helped me put my thoughts together and also pass along some guidance to fellow sports bettors.
I intend to start that tomorrow morning.
Good Luck Today
