When you say we don’t have the public guiding us in NCAAB like we do in football, do you just mean that the quantity of money coming in on basketball is much less and the markets are less efficient so the public isn’t as good as an indication to which side we should be betting against? Are you saying the books take more positions in NCAAFB than they do in NCAAB? If so, do you think they take positions in bigger NCAAB games that have more money coming in?”
“Yes the betting volume is very light in hoops unless you are getting big matchups. So on the light volume games there really is no edge I can see in trying to determine what the public is up to. On the high profile games perhaps but as of yet…i really dont discern much there either.
Same as the nba…..I havnt found the public to be much of a guide there either.
With baskets it seems you need to apply an entirely different approach then with the other sports”
