Rick,
“I have been following you for several years now and have to say you have refined
your techniques into something that is very reliable for me.
I do have a question. It seems always from the start of my following you that you had made the comment about moves opposite the public as being something that you considered in your handicapping. What are you doing differently now?
Thanks again for all your hard work and excellent blog!”
My response:
You are right..I have always used it as something that I looked at and considered it as giving extra weight to plays that have developed if it was present.
Now i am using it as the initial screen for these sets of plays. Then when it shows up doing my additional handicapping on the game. I have never used it as the initial process for picking a game to handicap.
Right now I dont handicap every game. It would be impossible for me to do that especially on college hoops. So I have my initial screens I look at that eliminates quite a few games..say around 80%. So I only end up doing my full handicapping routine on 20%.
Now this initial subset of games will add more to handicap and more work…but I think adding this subset will turn out to be very profitable. Profitable enough to probably having to double my time and follow the games up until game time every day.
My thoughts are that for college and pro football it will turn out very good. For baskets more then likely not as good. For money line sports…nhl and baseball maybe.
But we will see. Its always interesting to try new things as I have been doing over the last 6 years now.
As always I welcome any comments or questions.
Have a good new years eve…I have to get ready since we are having friends over tonight
