On Saturday we had one play and it won for +1.18 Units. That brings us to +11.75 Units Season to Date sports betting MLB.
We also won our overnight Bet or Pass total for +1.09 Units.
Today we have a busy day with 2 plays pending and 3 overnight totals pending.
The early numbers show San Diego to be the best by far. But it is an overnight so out of consideration for a regular play. Next, as a possible regular play is Texas. Although I doubt it will become a play today.
I just started working up the first week of the NFL. I know its still about 3 weeks away but I am anxious to get going handicapping the NFL. For me, it is the most fun of all the sports to handicap.
One thing to keep in mind now in the NFL is which teams are kneeling before the Anthem and which are not. Last season the teams that knelled tended to under-perform. An interesting article on this subject :
I am not sure I entirely agree with the author the small sample size is worked into the study. You always have to be concerned about making decisions based upon small sample sizes. However, the findings seem to me to be logical. At the very least the protesting creates a distraction for the players from the game. So that creates another variable to consider as if there is not enough already:)
I am still on the fence about entering the Westgate NFL Contest this season. I am still getting emails to see if any portion of the entry is open. If I do enter the portion of 1500 I sell has been taken for some time now.
If I do not enter I will still pick the top 5 games each week in the NFL.
Also, I have to mention this since the political environment is so dysfunctional right now. My observations regarding the kneeling in no way reflect any opinions either way about the propriety of players kneeling. My comments are only meant in the context of trying to find value in the NFL:)
