There is a new study that came out recently that showed that insider trading by the CFO of a small to medium size company had a positive return of over 4% over the first 4 months after the trade.
I am going to start a portfolio based upon this study and for those that are interested you can follow it here.
I made my first trade this morning:
3400 xoma 3.00
My plan is to hold the trade for 4 months and then sell. If that changes I will update.

Rick – does this mean when a CFO of a company publicly invests in his/her own company? Because they have to declare any interests they have? (I don’t understand the ins and outs as you can probably tell!) – thanks
