For those of you that receive late plays and also are thinking about the ncaa baskets there is a web service out now that sends email from who ever you select directly to your cell phone as an sms text message.
Its called teleflip. Site is https://www.teleflip.com/
My google groups updates would then not only go directly to your email but then to your cell as an sms text message.
I havnt used it but if it does what it says might be helpful.
