Another busy day on Saturday with 4 plays going 2-2. All were 1/2 unit plays.
Miami under 8.5-109 won 3-0. There were 3 overnights:
Boston -123 won 5-2. St Louis +147 lost 3-5 and Toronto -123 lost 0-7.
1. The overnights (formerly big move games) are still very solid in predicting the line move. They have not softened up one bit.
2. MLB totals are on a nice 6-0 run!
Today so far I have sent out 1 overnight play.
Regarding that play, the line has taken off in the game to move .26c. If you did not get down right away you had best pass on the game.
I doubt my putting the play out had anything to do with the move. More than likely another handicapper or a service jumped on the game shortly after the line came out.
On these overnights, there are books available that you can sign up for to take advantage of the overnight plays when they come out. Chris is one. Oftentimes they put out the lines before Pinnacle.
It’s not easy finding that right mix of books to take advantage of various edges that you might have. But it is as important as the handicapping itself. Over a season having several lines to choose from can add 10+ units to your record. That is no small amount.
I know it’s an inconvenience to have to hunt for books but what we are doing here is far from easy. For me, it is almost a full-time endeavor. Which I enjoy otherwise I would not be doing it.
I am retired from being a successful trial attorney and businessman. I honestly do not need extra sources of income as I live very comfortably. I do this to keep my mind sharp and I love working with numbers.
I would much rather be doing this at home in a healthy environment where I can take a dip in the pool anytime of the day rather than battling some of the miscreants that inhabit the poker rooms:) Then as a bonus you get to breath 2nd hand smoke for the 8 to 10 hours you put in playing.
But that is just me. Let me know if any of you have any questions so far in the handicapping realm. For some reason, questions have slowed down a bit. Typically I have to sort out what questions to answer.
MLB must be putting everyone to sleep!!!
Good Luck Today
