I would probably bet it all the way down to +5.5
That would be my cutoff..there are still a few +7.5s around though
Rick
Hi Rick,
I had a question about how you calculate your returns.
I’m assuming you’re paying some juice on your bets, if not let me know where 🙂
In March your picks are 3 for 3.
With a standard -110 line you’ve risked 33 units to win 30. So your return on investment is 90.9% if my math is correct.
(I keep my gambling books as a poker player first and a sports better second, so if it’s looked at differently, I’d love to know how)
Thanks,
Chris
You okay Rick?
It’s a couple hours past your normal post time.
Chris,
I understand the way you calulate rate of return…however for sports betting I think my way is a bit more accurate. The vig is already taken into consideration in the outcome. So if your laying 105 and lose..105 is subtracted from the total. But if its a win the 100 is added. The rate of return is based upon the number of bets not the total dollars wagered since that is reflected again in the outcome.
Ah! Gotcha, I didn’t realize you were subtracting 1.05 units.
Makes sense!
Thanks!
