Nothing like a computer crash to start out the day. I did get some handicapping done before the crash but then it took 2 hours for me to figure out how to get things running smoothly again.
In any event, It had been awhile before I have had these types of problems so I was long overdue:)
On Wednesday we had 4 plays going 2-1-1.
In college Hoops we won with Bradley +11.5 74-63, Tied with Fordham +8 72-80 and lost with St Johns +7.5 72-85.
In the NHL we won with Montreal +108 4-3.
A +.98 unit day for Wednesday.
Today I sent out a play in the NHL very early this morning. I also sent out my thoughts on the 4 NFL games for this weekend.
For those looking for the Swing trade update this morning, I will make a few brief comments. GLD is looking great up 1.5% today.
In addition, the SPX Nasdaq weekly system I follow looks likely to trigger a long trade at the close on Friday. Right now we are triggered but you have to go by the weekly close. This is a pretty good indicator of head wind tail wind. I will comment more tomorrow.
On the Geopolitical front things are heating up with the lame duck administration moving special forces to the Russia border. 15 days left and a substantial movement of troops without consulting with the incoming administration. Very sad to see that degree of noncooperation from the leaving administration.
In addition, the hacking of the DNC is taking on a life of its own mainly because of the ineptitude of the Republican party. It’s almost like each person in the party belongs to a separate political party rather than one party. Some are taking positions hostile to the President-elect before he takes office.
And they wonder how they lost the Senate and presidency before! If politicians were given an IQ test I doubt they would score very high regardless of what their affiliation is. And to think they are making a decision that affects the welfare of the U.S.
Things have the potential to get very ugly the next two weeks as the transition date approaches. The polarization is getting larger if that is possible with people taking a stand not based upon ideas or policy but upon obstructionism.
And of course, the President Elect has a new name for the Obstructionists. Schumer’s clowns! It would be funny if it were not so tragic. Seeing the market advance like it has despite all of the crosscurrents is simply amazing.
But I am afraid the music will start sometime this year. Perhaps even early this year. A lot will depend on the Fed.
I am calling it a morning as I still have a number of things to do to get caught up today. But tomorrow I should be back on schedule.
Good Luck Today
