Heading into this weeks Westgate NFL Supercontest I am sitting at 41-32-2 or a tad over 56%. Respectable considering you have to pick 5 games against the spread each week, but far out of the top 100.
My Westgate picks this week are: (in the order I liked them at the time)
The Westgate top 5 again went 2-3 bringing its record to 38-37-2. This is a good number historically for the contest top 5.
The Westgate top 5 picks this week:
I am fading their 5th pick and am not with any of the 5.
My free NFL Road map for today is:
Pitt 47% 53
NO 53% -6-108 -6-108 -5.5 -6.5
Models: Slight Edge NO
Variables: Avg Edge Pitt
Public %: No edge
The reason most likely is the public perception that Pitt needs to win this game more than NO who has the 1 seed virtually locked up. So the public is correct about that. The problem is the books have adjust the line taking that into consideration. Not that it will affect the results (unless NO rests players) but because they know there will be betting on Pitt for that reason.
I am surprised Pitt is not getting more public support in this spot. In any event, this game is one of those you stay away from. There were much better spots today to place your money.
