Additional response.

Thinking a bit more on your question…I think you would do better with your results if you used the same analysis and in the games that you felt were obvious plays on the total go the opposite way. The reason being that there is most likely some significant variables in play that your not taking into consideration.

“Rick,
Have you taken a close look at the Michigan/Indiana over/under for tonight (143 (-105 @ 5d))? Indiana AVERAGES 84 ppg to lead the country, and Michigan is not a team that plays at a slow pace. If Indiana gets their average, Michigan would have to score just 59 points for the bet to push… They’ve only been held under 60 once. Your thoughts?”

I handicap totals a bit differently. Everything you mention sounds very logical however I do not see anything there that the books do not take into consideration. Using scoring averages and pace usually does not work in handicapping since that is what the books use…and their models are much more sophisticated then your analysis.

Based upon what I look at if I had to wager on the total I would be wagering on the under…however its far from a play.

Friday we won our 1/2 Unit play in the NHL on Carolina -115. They won 1-0.

Today a busy day plenty of games in hoops and the nhl.

Saturday College Hoops:

1 Unit Plays
701 Idaho st +7.5
719 Samford +10.5

1/2 Unit Plays
569 Bradley +17.5
581 S. Ill +11.5
662 Iowa St O148.5
725 S Dakota +17.5

I will update later with any NBA and NHL….Also if any additional college hoops plays develop I will post them as they become clear.

Good Luck Today
