Season to date records in all sports posted, tips for week 17 in the NFL, update on short put sales all posted. My thoughts for a Sunday morning

This is going to be a shorter post today as I have a number of things going on this morning.

First, we had 3 short put sales last week. We collected the premium in all 3 but we had one of the puts trade below the strike price at the close so we now own the stock.

Sometimes you can get out of these before the close, however, the put premium was so high I decided to manage the trade this week. I will do that one of two ways, look for an exit or short calls against the position. The call premium will decide how I will manage the trade.

This is week 17 in the NFL and you can throw almost all your handicapping techniques out the door as there only two considerations for most games. 1. Does the team have to win and 2. Is the team going to rest players.

That really is about it. The public % has some significance but not as much as the rest of the weeks.

The idea is to fade must-win teams and also fade teams that are going to rest players.

Is it that simple:)  Probably not, but as a road map it steers you in the right direction.

My top 5 picks this week on the Westgate lines:

Houston +7.5

Rams +2.5

Phil +2.5

Chargers -3.5

Cincy +12.5

As you can see I followed my recommendation almost to the letter.

The Westgate Top 5 picks went 3-2 last week bringing its record to 39-39-3

The Westgate Top 5 picks this week is:

I Faded two of the top 5 this week and am on none of the top 5.

The bottom 5 in the Westgate is:

I am on 1 of the bottom 5 this week.

Season to date records are as follows:

Sides 15-7-1

Totals: 7-7

Combined: 22-14-1  61.11%

College Football:

Sides: 19-22

Totals: 7-2

Combined: 26-24

We picked up a few wins this last week on sides to get us over the .500 mark.

NCAA Hoop:

Sides: 8-11

Totals: 5-5

Combined: 13-16

We were hovering around the .500 mark and then had a 2-4 Saturday.

Hoops is a long season with plenty of swings. So we have a lot to go.

As many of you know I have added slack to my method of sending out plays.

There are two parts to my slack account.

One for my investment side where I share all my stock and option trades.

The other is the sports side where you get my plays, analysis, and have the ability to chat with me in real-time during the day.

I have sub-boards where subscribers can interact with each other also on a variety of topics.

If you wish to join us for the next 30 days I have made it easy for you:

Sign up now and I will have you signed on within minutes.

This will get the college hoops to you now that the season has started.

My goal is not only to produce positive EV plays but to keep subscribers out of trouble. I have been doing this online for over 20 years now!!!

As you know gamblers have a propensity to get in trouble, I was once one of them:)  That is why I try to educate as much as I try to produce winning plays.
