5. Tilt factor….you must play your best at all times.
It would seem obvious that with your knowledge of the games and players you would play your best game at all times. ( as spock would say ” to hunt a species to extinction is illogical” when he talks about the human race.
Human nature what it is…you can expect at the poker table the illogical. You have people losing a hand or 2 in a row, taking a bad beat, not getting a hand for hours…and then something goes off inside there head…and they play like complete lunatics.
This isnt a once in awhile occurance…its something you see every single day you play at the tables..its just a question when and who is going to put on a show.
There are varying degrees of tilt also. My tilt might be to play AKJ4 suited on the ace out of position in a full table omaha 8 game. While many others are 38tk coming in with a raise or calling 3 bets cold!
Some people go on tile for a hand or 2 and some for days. Some are on tilt when they first get into the game.
So..where does that leave you? Dont tilt…its illogical! If you cant control your tilt factor…dont play…you dont have a chance to win in the long run.
Look forward to people tilting..it can be profitable and at the very least if you cant take advantage of it…entertaining.
