3:50 Update
Wednesday we went 3-1 on our plays with college hoop sides going 1-0 and totals 2-1.
There was a play earlier that was an easy winner..and there should be at least one more play tonight. I will send it out to subscribers in about an hour or so.

Betting is 60% on the home favorite and the line has stayed steady at -3. Models slightly favor Tenn and Variables strongly favor Tenn. This game is not a play however as 40% of the betting is on Tenn and the models do not strongly favor either side. But I did choose Tenn +3 tonight in the Hilton contest. This week was the toughest so far for picking games for me. I had none that stood out to me. All are very marginal picks.
College football
East Carolina
Central Fla
Betting is 58% on East carolina with the line moving from -15 to -14.5. Model slightly favor East Carolina while variables are neutral on the game. No edge I can see. A pass
UL Monroe
Texas State
Betting is 54% on the home favorite with the line moving from -4.5 to -5.5. Models favor Texas State while variables are neutral. Game again is a pass.
As I have mentioned college football this season is not seeing huge public sides with line moves getting inflated. To the contrary the “sharps” have been moving the line substantially in the other direction. So hard to find good solid plays so far this season in college football.
On the other hand college hoops has started off just as it has the last two seasons. We are 10-4 going in to today with a winner already in this morning. Not even two fed speakers and the release of the fed minuites could derail Wednesday’s rally. They tried …without exception all were gloating about their decision to raise rates in December. One really needs to ask with all the events happening around the world and with the weakest economic recovery in America ever would they be so obsessed with raising rates. Inflation is no where in site…record number of people out of the workforce…crushing government regulations on small business…affordable care act becoming less affordable all the time…it goes on and on.
One misstep by the fed and the consequences to the U.S. economy could be devastating. Lets keep our fingers crossed that cooler heads will prevail. Or at least partisan politics will intervene and assure no increase until after the next presidential election. One can only dream!
And if the above were not enough the divide between the White House and Congress gets more antagonistic every day. Just when you think it could not get any worse it does. Our elected leaders on both sides of the Isle have forgotten its the American people that they represent not themselves. OK no politics but its very difficult to remain silent with the rhetoric coming out of Washington non stop now. And by the way I am Independent….its issue by issue with me.
Well the markets after a 200+ day on Wednesday are up almost 1/5% 40 minuites before the open. I am long a portfolio of 11 stocks with covered calls and now am long 5 swing trades. In addition my mean reversion trades both etf and stock trades have been exited now on this big move up of the last 3 days.

We are now getting ready to hit peak seasonality. Some of the most positive seasonality starts next monday. And the market looks like it is getting a head start. It wont be straight up but if you bearishly inclined I would recommend putting that on hold for awhile.
And on another positive note…..3-1 in College hoops Yesterday! That always brightens my day. Did I say I am very happy that College hoops has started. 3-1 yesterday bring season to date 10-4!
