Every morning I send out a missive like this between 30 to 60 min before the open:
Markets are hovering around the break-even mark except for IWM which is +.35%
Vix.x is -1.37%, crude is +1.13% and TLT off 1/3%
This is a positive bias for the markets 20 min before the open.
FUBO calls expire Friday, and the stock is trading right at our strike price. If this holds this week we can pocket a very nice gain on the trade
ABUS calls also expire Friday, and the stock is trading at 4.22. 4.00 will be our breakeven after Friday. So right now we have a nice profit on this trade also\
We have several short put sales expiring on 1/15. Root 15.00 puts, the stock is trading at 18.35 and CBat 5.00 puts the stock is trading at 7.16
Unless the sky falls, we are going to end up with some nice profits on these trades we were managing after we took delivery
Although at the time I did not like the sports shutdown, looking back it gave me the time to come up with some solid trading techniques I will be able to use going forward for a long time
The news is settling down a bit with the Biden inauguration around the corner. Hopefully, the chaos will settle down, however, I do not expect it to subside
This means more volatility for the markets
The country is still divided. I expect it will remain so for a long time. The way to view this from a trading standpoint is politics is going to provide trading opportunities. It is up to you as a trader to figure out where those are and the timing of trading them
My focus will be on pointing these opportunities I see out, and my thoughts on how to trade them
