Some possibilities tonight. I will update if anything becomes clear.
Its about an hour before the open and the markets are back to normal with a gap down of almost 2%. After I posted that historically this is the worst week of the year for stocks the market closed up almost 100 on Monday. But it looks like today will get things in line historically.
Again its this downswing right now that one should be looking to start a portfolio of 10 to 20 stocks to hold until late april of next year. I have my methodology I use and it has served me very well over the years.
I have been pretty much flat in this market during this volatility. Yesterday I put on a short day trade for almost 1% and started a swing short in a stock that is looking at a gain of almost 2.5% on the open. So far I have been avoiding the beating most traders are taking and picking up some money while waiting for the strongest months of the year to begin.
Today I will manage my swing trade short and perhaps try another day trade. Not yet ready for swing longs. Maybe end of the week or early next week. We will see. Flexibility is key!
