All we had on Tues was NJ under in the nba and it was a clear win.

Today nothing I can see in the football game tonight….however that could
change if we get a move to 3.5 on ohio and I will update if anything develops there.

Possibilities exist in the nhl tonight…and as of right now another total in the nba:

Cleveland Under 193.5 (I do not bet these….I am putting them out for tracking purposes only)

I have received several emails about college baskets. Last year I started putting them out the night before after I had put in my bets. But then I had received quite a few emails suggesting that I wait until the morning when more of the books have their lines posted which was around 9 or so pst. I did that for most of the season and it seemed to work out well.

I am open to going back to putting them out overnight…..after I place my bets. Does anyone have any strong opinions as to which they would prefer?

Good Luck Today

I'd much prefer not overnight personally Rick – it simply means more people have the chance to get on at anywhere near the line. On the overnights the line was gone after only a few moments after a post because the limits were so much lower.

I didn't follow last year but plan to do so this year. Rick, could you (or anyone who followed last year) give a more specific description of exactly how quickly the lines moved after your posts? If it's 5 minutes, I vote for overnights. If it's more like 30 seconds, I'd probably vote for waiting.

One other comment about NCAAB overnights. I went back and saw you were posting some of them super early last year. If you decide to go with overnights, perhaps you should wait until 8-9pm pt when more books have lines up.

Whatever you decide, thanks for giving us a heads-up and best of luck this season!

I have no preference-my local does not have them up until the day of game. Did you ever look at soccer?

I think waiting until the morning would be the best option, gives everyone a better chance of getting on and more stability with the lines. Keep up the great work Rick – a fantastic year so far!

I think releasing the plays right after you make you put in your own plays is by far the best option. I want my best chance to play exactly what you do.
    Thanks!

Rick – what would you say that your expectancy is in NFL? 58-59%? If indeed no-one can expect 60% that's my dreams shattered čÖé

Rick I've heard it said that in order to make a living sports betting that you have to be able to hit 58%. Do you find that to be true?

Silver Eagle, 58% is meaningless in sports involving money lines. if you hit 58% of your baseball picks and you take only teams laying 2-1, you are going to lose money.. win 45% of the time on teams GETTING 2-1 and you will make money.. if you are talking about pointspreads and the traditional 11-10, 53% is just above the breakeven point.. 55% and you are making money, whether that's enough for a "living" depends on how much and how often you are betting.

Last year the lines tended to move within an hour of Rick posting his plays, but then they often moved back the next day. But there are definitely some games that never moved back, and by releasing the next day the best part of those lines would be gone. So IMO the best idea would be for Rick to release around 9-10pm, when the biggest shops have their overnight lines up. For the people who want to wait until the next morning, the games that move back you will get the same line as the overnight crowd, or better. The ones that never move back you probably never could have gotten anyway, but at least some people who follow Rick can.

    Rick,

I would prefer morning. Question: looks like there is a slew of games tomorrow (Friday). Do you anticipate some plays beginning then?

Thanks and keep up the great work! We appreciate all that you do!

I'm with the other guy who said to give us the plays as you make them. That is the best way of being able to follow you Rick. I too want to do what you do and the best way is to do it when you do it.
