Nothing early today I can see…but we did go 3-0 in our late plays ..2 wnba and 1 mlb total(see below)

Position
Books that deal with flop games talk a lot about position and how the earlier you come into the pot the better hand you need. For instance many books subscribe to the idea that in holdem under the gun in the first two positions you need ak or aa, kk, qq to raise. some even recommend not raising on AK in early position but just limping.
There is another concept regarding position that I think is as important if not more important then the above. That is position relative to the initial raiser.
If a person raises in front of you even though you have position on him….you have all the other players to deal with behind you….and not only before the flop but also after the flop when the initial raiser makes a continuation bet through you. So you need a very good hand in this position to compete.
But on the other hand lets say the raise is on your immediate left. Now not only do you get to see what the other players are going to do before you decide what to do…but also you are in a great position after the flop when the person on your left makes a continuation bet.
