Wednesday we had 3 plays and went 1-1-1.
In College Hoops we won with Drake +16.5 69-77 and lost with LSU +8 63-88.
In the NBA we had a push with Charlotte +15 111-126.
I did not watch the Golden State game except to see that the first quarter did not go well for Charlotte. That reminded me of a bet I used to make with fellow poker plays in the NBA. Whenever a team had a blowout first quarter I typically would try to get a wager on the other side getting much better than the betting line.
The NBA is notorious for huge momentum swings. The longer you wait to make this type of wager the riskier it is. Usually it loses a lot of value after the first quarter.
You need several things going for you:
1 a blowout first quarter
2. The person that you are betting has no access to the real time odds
Now at first glance you might think this is not quite ethical. And I would agree if you had access to the real time odds before you made the bet. But I would make it a point at never checking the real odds before making the bet.
The risk however in making bets like this if your a winning poker player is that sooner or later the players are going to get irritable losing to you after awhile. This is contrary to the general rule for winning players, which is to make your opponents as comfortable as possilble as they give you their money:)
So far today I have sent out 2 plays. With a full slate of games tonight I anticipate several more.
Good Luck Today
