Saturday sports betting we had 4 plays and went 3-1. We won our MLB Total, went 2-1 on our NCAA FB plays and 0-2 on our NCAA FB leans.
Nothing really stood out in College football enough to make a unit play. All were 1/2 unit plays. Maryland +13.5 won the game 31-24, S. Carolina +7.5 covered 17-24 and Tulsa +8.5 lost 21-31.
Before I start the NFL today let me go through some housekeeping.
I have sent out the 49.00 to all subscribers who started this MLB season and stayed through the end of the season. If anyone has not received it please let me know.
I did that even though we did not lose this season because I know the frustration of betting on MLB every day. It’s one of the most grueling seasons of all sports.
It last 6 months with as you know up to six or seven plays a day at times.
So I felt that this was the correct thing to do from being a bettor for the last 40 years.
I know that this is something you rarely see in sports betting. Matter of fact I do not recall seeing any service that has done this. But I do not consider myself a service as such. I consider everyone that is part of our group partners in an ongoing endeavor to become better handicappers.
I have said many times that handicapping sports is a hobby for me. It keeps my mind sharp (at 70 its needed:)) and I enjoy the challenge.
So thanks to all for the support you have given over the years.
Also, let me share an email I received yesterday:
I set up a PayPal monthly subscription from your site just now. Thanks for the free trial. I am breaking my 35 year rule of never paying for picks which I have preached to friends, family and anyone who would listen.
I have to say that you seem like the only honest tout I have encountered in my lifetime. The $49 monthly fee is beyond reasonable and your recent decision to refund MLB players after a slightly break even season is truly rare in this industry. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work. “
I appreciate these types of emails as I strive to be 100% open and transparent with my handicapping.
My goal is once I retire from this site (I have no plans to do so right now) that all that have followed me over the years have become better handicappers and appreciate the pitfalls that are just around the corner for all of us in pursuing this endeavor. Gambling every day and winning is one of the toughest endeavors I can think of.
Ok, now on to the NFL.
My picks this week in the Westgate NFL Supercontest are:
In the order I liked them at the time:
This week was the toughest week by far in the contest so far. The first 2 were clear cut to me. Chicago looked good. The other two were the best of the worst as I saw it. I would have stuck Oakland into the mix but the contest line was +2.5. I would have replaced Miami.
I am 11-5 heading into this weekend in the contest.
The Westgate top 5 picks this week are :
They went 2-3 last week and are 5-10 for the season.
The bottom 5 this week:
I am fading 2 of the top 5 and with 3 of the bottom 5. Exactly where I like to be:)
Good Luck Today
