Saturday we had 3 plays and 2 leans.
All plays were 1/2 unit plays going 2-1. Rutgers 23 squeaked in to cover 14-35, Fla Intl 16.5 not only covered buy won the game easily 41-30 and Ohio State -7.5 lost 39-38 in an exciting game. They never had a chance to cover as they were buried the first quarter.
Our leans went 2-0 both easy wins.Illinois under 51 won 24-10 and Oklahoma st -7.5 won 50-39.
Today I have sent out 2 one unit plays.
Now on to the NFL!
Last week I went 2-3in the Westgate NFL Supercontest. After winning my first two picks it was downhill from there. So heading into week 8 I am sitting at 21-14 or 60%.
There are 10 entrants tied for 1st at 25-10 or an incredible 71.4%. Looks like I have a lot of work to do:)
My picks this week are:
Washington 2
Denver 7
Cleveland 9.5
Chicago 9
Detroit 3
I really had to search for my 5th pick. I looked at the Jets and Indy but finally decided on Detroit.
The top 5 in the Westgate NFL super contest outdid themselves last week going 0-5. That brings their record to 12-23 or 34.28%. That’s an incredible number, but it reflects the number of “square” bettors in the contest.
The top 5 this week are:
Carolina
New Orleans
Seattle
Atlanta
Chargers
I am fading 1 of the top 5.
The bottom 5 are:
Baltimore
Cleveland
Cinci
Miami
Tampa Bay
I am on 1 of the bottom 5.
I received an email the other day asking about what my thoughts were as to the effect of the NFL kneeling on the handicapping of the game.
My thoughts on this are that these players are professionals. To get to where they are I doubt their personal beliefs will interfere with how they play. The player competition is very high in professional sports so I doubt it will have any effect at all.
So my approach is you do you’re handicapping without regard to these external factors that are affecting the NFL business right now.
Good Luck Today
