Heading into week 15 of the Westgate NFL Supercontest I sit at 34-35-1. 3 more weeks left and I am hoving at the 500 mark:(
Let’s see if I can close out the season with a strong last 3 weeks.
One play from last week that bears mentioning was I had put out Cleveland +3.5 than when the line went down to 2.5 and some of what I look at changed dramatically I decided to lay of the wager at -2.5 with a chance at a 3 middle.
Then the game goes into OT and all of a sudden the middle is very live. But GB scores a touchdown in OT rather than a field goal:) So the layoff saved money and almost hit the magical 3. But it changed a 4-1 day in the contest to 3-2 last week.
My picks this week are:
Cleveland +7
Giants +7.5
Cincinnati +10.5
Oakland +3
Tampa +6.5
The Westgate Top 5 this week are:
San Fran
KC
Chargers
New Eng
Rams
The top 5 went 3-2 last week bringing it record to 31-39 or 44.28%. They were hovering in the low 30s for most of the season.
The Westgate bottom 5 this week:
Indy
Denver
Jets
Cinci
Arizona
All things being equal your handicapping should result in fading the top 5 and being on the bottom 5. That is a good way to judge your handicapping techniques. Of course, it’s not as simple as that but overall not a bad method. If you consistently are with the top 5 you need to figure out why and change it.
Also for subscribers, you may have noticed that the # of 1/2 unit new plays is dropping off a bit. I have added a filter to those plays that will most likely reduce variance and increase EV. Time will tell but so far I like what I am seeing.
I will be around on Skype this morning if anyone has any questions. My username there is riccja.
