Before starting the NFL, I want to go over regular-season baseball and then move onto the NFL.
We had an interesting season in MLB. My season for betting MLB ends on Aug 31st. September as it turns out is typically a graveyard for MLB bettors. Not that the months before that are a piece of cake:) But September for me anyway, is not worth risking any dollars on.
We ended up the regular season this year +13.7 Units. That was on 465 Plays. Giving us an ROI of 2.946 %. Just to put things in perspective. I would take that happily ever MLB Season. As a friend of mine said, (a big bookie) Rick, nobody beats baseball:)
The season was interesting in that our top to bottom swing was only about 20 units. We were negative 7 units at one point and finished on the high side of the range. This season it was all about August. Until the first of August, we hovered around breakeven. Then finally broke out to the upside.
As I tell my subscribers, MLB is not for everyone. It’s unforgiving if you get out of line. There is no other sport where you have to stay as disciplined as MLB.
This puts us on a nice streak in MLB. 2017/2018 we were +13.43 UNITS
A few years ago I started a special where I would give back a 50% refund for subscribers if I had a losing MLB regular season-ending 8/31st. So far I have not had to refund any money:)
NCAA FB has begun and we are 3-2 for our plays so far this season.
The NFL has a full slate of games today for Week 1. My Westgate NFL Supercontest picks in the order I liked them at the time:
Carolina +2.5
Jacksonville +3.5
Indy +6.5
Bears -3 (Loss)
Arizona +3
Bears never had a chance Thursday night. So I need a 3-1 day today to end up on the positive side for the first week.
The Westgate top 5 picks this week are:
Baltimore
Indy
Houston
Tampa
Denver
Historically you want to be on the other side of these:) But this week I am with them on Indy and am not fading any of them.
The bottom five picks teams are:
Miami
Green Bay
Oakland
Wash
New Orleans
What is interesting about the Westgate top 5 picks is that two of the picks are on dogs, two on even games and only 1 on a big public favorite. Perhaps there will be more sharp action in the contest this season. As usually its big public favorites that end up in the top 5. Although Denver is -2.5 in some spots now, and is getting pounded for Monday night. Oakland is getting no love:)
I have sent out two plays for today to subscribers.
Good Luck Today:)
